What this notice covers
This notice applies to our online learning services delivered via Thinkific, HighLevel, Google Workspace/Meet and Stripe.

Not covered:
TGE Pad runs on a separate stack and has its own privacy notice.

2) Personal data we process
Learner & purchaser data:
name, email, employer (optional), country, course(s), progress, assessments, support history.
Live session data: attendance, chat messages, and recordings (when enabled).
Payments: handled by Stripe (we receive tokens/metadata and invoice details; we do not store card numbers).Marketing (opt-in): email address, preferences, engagement metrics.
Web/cookies: basic logs for security and performance.

3) Why we use your data (legal bases)
Deliver and support your course
— contract necessity.
Operate safely and improve — legitimate interests (security, QA, analytics).
Meet legal duties — e.g., tax/finance record-keeping.
Marketing — your consent (withdraw any time).

4) Our processors
Thinkific
— learner accounts, progress, assessments
HighLevel (GoHighLevel) — CRM/helpdesk, enrolment comms, support
Google Workspace/Meet — email, files, live sessions/recordings
Stripe — payments (PCI DSS Level 1; card data handled by Stripe)

5) International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the UK/EEA/Switzerland. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and/or UK IDTA (and vendor safeguards). Details available on request.

6) How long we keep data
Recordings:
normally 60 days (up to 120 days by documented exception).
Learner account & assessment records: 24 months after course completion (unless longer is required by law/contract).
Finance/invoice records: 7 years.

7) Your rightsTo exercise your rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability), email privacy@tge.ventures. We confirm receipt within 48 hours and respond in line with law.

8) Children
Our services are for adults and professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9) Security
We apply MFA, role-based access, encryption in transit/at rest (via our SaaS providers), logging/monitoring, and supplier due-diligence. Incidents are handled under our Incident Response Plan.

10) Corporate cohortsWhen a corporate client provides us a learner list, we act as their processor for delivery on documented instruction. We keep client data separate and delete/return it as agreed with the client.

11) Complaints
In the UK you can contact the ICO; in Switzerland the FDPIC. We’d appreciate the chance to resolve concerns first at privacy@tge.ventures.

12) Updates to this notice
We’ll update this page when practices or laws change and note the effective date.
